Today Minister Ed Vaizey launched the Treasure Annual Report, highlighting the latest finds from around the nation.
One of the most amazing finds is the Lenborough Hoard, found in Buckinghamshire in December 2014. With over 5,000 Anglo-Saxon coins, this hoard is one of the largest of its kind ever found in Britain.
Through the Portable Antiquities Scheme (finds.org.uk) we work with museums nationwide, enabling them to acquire key finds for local display. For now, coins from the Lenborough Hoard will be on display in the Citi Money Gallery (Room 68).
