Photograph by George Steinmetz @geosteinmetz The cold is even getting to the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in Central Park, with only a small hole in the ice still kept open by the agitated water. The fountain dates from 1917, but the reservoir itself is from the 1860s. It's no longer used as a source of drinking water, except for the ducks and geese that rest near the water’s edge.
