Today in 1892: Poet and feminist icon of the jazz age Edna St. Vincent Millay is born. Here's a sample of her poetry: "My candle burns at both ends;
It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends—
It gives a lovely light!" One of her dresses and a pair of her beaded shoes are in our collection.
