Today is World Spay Day! Please spay and neuter your pets and if you have time and want to help, please consider fostering or getting involved with TNR to help control the pet overpopulation! It's is very self rewarding to know that by spaying one animal you'll prevent thousands off offspring that would pyramid out from that one animal and the litters it's litters would have. (I'll post a pic of that next....the #s are shocking)! Most of these end up in shelters and never make it out. ? Sad but true fact!
Alleycat.org has some great statistics, information, & FAQ's on this problem, TNR, and how you can help. ? Sometimes rescues need manpower, not just $. If more people could volunteer to trap & just drive some ferals to a low cost spay/neuter facility I'm sure you would find some rescues in your area that would appreciate the help & pay the vet directly. All you have to do is donate your time & gas.
