[VIDEO] ‪#ThrowbackThursday‬ #regram from Quest President @TomBilyeu. My life came into clear perspective last week. The ‪Quest‬ family lost one of its own, and I found myself as a pallbearer laying someone to rest who had helped build this dream. My mind swam. I didn’t set out to be an employer. Sadly, I didn’t even set out to change the world. I’m not a born entrepreneur. But as I’ve grown and developed myself, and realized how much potential we all have within us I have set my sights on more and more grand challenges. The pursuit of greatness is not a solo climb. It’s a team effort. Like a rolling snowball it picks up other passionate believers till you look around and find yourself as a part of a powerful support structure. As I sat in the church listening to the beautiful and moving eulogy given by his friends from Quest, I was struck in a very visceral way by how the people we work with really do become our extended family. When they began the eulogy with “We stand here today representing Quest Nutrition, his work family.” I got very emotional. It hit me that we had not just built a company valued on its revenue or its products. We had build something with far more substantial value. Quest is no longer the founding team. It’s so much bigger than that. It’s now owned by nearly a thousand dreamers. I am honored and humbled to be a part of this team. And even more honored to have been able to quietly support one of our own as we all said goodbye. With this ‪#TBT‬, I send my love and gratitude to everyone that’s ever touched the Quest family. Here’s to hoping that we all surround ourselves with people we care about and who care about us; and that we all heed Steve Jobs’ famous words - “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”
