Dr. Patricia McConnell, my idol in the dog training world, gave me a thumbs up for my book "Heart Dog". ? It was the best assurance I could ever ask for as a trainer and a dog lover.
Someone who used to be close to me once said to me "You have completely lost it". Lost myself in dogs - and he meant in a negative way. I had to downplay my love for my dogs to fit in as he tried to make me believe I wasn't normal. Now I look back on those days I feel sorry for people like him who never found the special connection with dogs. And I choose to surround myself with people who get it. I can't imagine life without these incredibly loyal friends. ?? #HeartDogForever
