“I used to be good at school,” says Samar, 11, of #Gaza. “But not anymore” Six months after the ceasefire, Samar still struggles to cope with the loss of her father, who was killed during a blast to a #UnitedNations-run school where they were sheltering. “My siblings were hurt, and things are not the same,” she says. Children in #Gaza continue to recover from seven weeks of intense violence last summer.
