In honor of #IWD2015, I’m going to be sharing the story behind this Hibret Zippered Pouch I designed on my latest trip to Ethiopia with @livefashionABLE. My hope is it will act as a reminder of the impact you can have with your purchases. “Hibret” in amharic, the traditional language of Ethiopia, means collaboration — and in that spirit, we brought together fashionABLE’s skilled scarf weaving partners to line the inside of the pouch, and the leather artisans to craft the pouch itself, creating a beautiful product that creates opportunity and dignity for those who made it. #MINKAxFASHIONABLE
