A newborn squirrel relies on their Vibrissae to find its mother. Vibrissae is the four sets of whiskers around the nose, above and below the bottom of the eyes, on the bottom of the head in front of the throat and their nose.
The Vibrissae are the same whiskers a cat uses to find its way in the dark.
