A two-foot long twinspot snapper checks out an intruder in its’ world at Oeno Atoll in the Pitcairn Islands. The Pitcairn Islands are remote and very pristine. Fish there seldom see humans - hence their fearlessness. Now these and other sea creatures will be safe thanks to the British government's decision to create the Pitcairn Islands Marine Reserve, the largest fully protected area in the ocean - almost three and a half times the size of the United Kingdom! The first step was to declare this reserve; next step will be protecting the area from from illegal fishing. Kudos to @EnricSala and many other for making this new reserve a reality!
