SENIOR SUNDAY! Peep this sweetheart's story, courtesy of our friends at @susiesseniordogs.

Gerdie is around 10 years old and she was found walking down the middle of the road in downtown Centerton, Arkansas. Along with animal control, it was the mayor who corralled her in to safety! A local citizen called the shelter when they spotted "a wolf" walking down the road. But Gerdie says, "I'm no wolf! I'm just a fluffy, friendly senior lady who would love a family of my own." (Her mix is unknown, what's your best guess?) Gerdie is a little hard of hearing and can be startled by sudden touch. She would do best in a home with humans who are able to respect her sensitivity. But she is very, very sweet and loving. We spent time with her at the shelter and she nuzzled right up to us. If Gerdie knows you're coming she welcomes and adores your pets. She recently hung out with a young group of local Girl Scouts visiting the shelter and she soaked up their love! To adopt Gerdie, please email Terry at centerton.animal.control@gmail.com.
