Not something you often see heading out to do an interview … a brood of ducklings being rescued on a D.C. street! CNN photojournalist Khalil Abdallah (@madcameraman) and @CNNSitRoom’s @BrianToddCNN report the ducklings and their mom had crossed heavily trafficked L Street NW and some restaurant patrons stopped on the sidewalk to corral them. A man gave up his umbrella for the cause. “One duckling tried to run back to the street but they caught it in time,” Abdallah said. The mother duck followed the umbrella to safety while pedestrians stopped cars for them to cross the street.
