From #OspreyAthlete @bclarkmtn: "I've paused for a few days on a thought, something impactful has happened and in the middle of a great struggle, I hope my friends will find progress...I took this photo at the Stupa of Boudhanath in Kathmandu Nepal in 2007. This site was a truly reverent space...Our relationships to spaces are important -- our commitment to caring for each other is greater. I hope to hear from my sherpa friends who many times waited in dreadful silence for my climbing partners and I to stumble back safely from their mountains. I hope to learn they and their families are picking up the many pieces of the puzzle that is Nepal this week.
But we may not know for a little while yet still...fingers are crossed that they are safe and sound. I imagine them out there being inspiring members of their community and helping. Also staying positive in the face of tragedy. From here the world may get to know the virtue of their culture, the deepening bond to their landscape and appreciation to the world who visits them within it."
