A huipil is the traditional blouse worn by women in Guatemala. Each huipil is a work of art and can take months to complete. The weave or design can represent her personality and the village she is from. Once a woman grows tired of her huipil she may sell it for extra income. Our artisan partners repurpose the huipils and make them into bags.
