Eating perpetuated fear. I starved for an illusion. Self-riddance and self-dignity became one in the same. I was afraid to live. So afraid that I enclosed every ounce of myself- vanished between bones and empty promises.
A lot has changed since then. I am no longer an empty vessel. My body is my home, and I will not shun this shelter. I will embrace it.
