You don't need to fly over Machu Picchu to get this view, you just need to hike up the towering mountain behind the World Heritage Site. This is not a hike for the faint of heart. To get to the top of Huayna Picchu, it is pretty much all stone stairs, some of which are very steep and often slippery. Plus, you are hiking up over 350 meters at high altitude. Once you get there, though, you are rewarded with some spectacular views. The climb is restricted to 400 people per day and you now need advanced tickets. Photo by @awc007
