Photographer @ajholmesphoto writes: My name is A.J. Holmes and I am a film photographer. I live and work out of Nashville, Tennessee. Though I typically stick to wedding and editorial portrait work, I decided it was time to mix things up a bit. After my last day of final exams this spring, I packed up my cameras and clothes, bought a tent, gassed up the car and hit the road. I was on a mission to see the west. After nearly two weeks full of stops on my journey, I set up camp at the Grand Canyon, South Rim. As I went out to photograph that evening, a storm blew in that drive many tourists away. Instead of packing up and leaving, I wrapped my camera in a plastic bag and kept shooting. The winds and rain blew, and it was one of the most magical moments.
Three weeks and 7,800 miles later, I made it back to Tennessee with 100 rolls of film packed full of memories.
Shot with my Pentax 67II and Kodak Portra 160 film. #liveaunthentic #livefolk @FOLK
