About the Shot: Sunset to Sunrise - This photo was taken in Newport Beach, California during a recent string of fiery sunsets. I had just gotten out of the water with my two friends Chad and Brandyn and they were just standing there, getting stoked on the sunset as it got more colorful the darker it got.

How the Shot was Captured: To get this shot I took two shots prior to this, one with 5 second exposure, and one in the normal camera mode. The 5 second exposure was completely blown out and white, the normal camera shot was almost pitch black. I was loosing color and light fast, and they were getting ready to walk back to the car, so I turned the camera to AUTO exposure and gave it one last shot, and this is what I ended up getting.

Camera Settings: AUTO exposure / iso 100 / gopro color / auto temperature / low sharpness
#ProTip: AUTO exposure is our go to setting when we cant figure out what to use in a pinch. We have used auto exposure for many things from flying a drone, to making night lapses, the camera does a great job of figuring it out for you. Keep in mind though that it will only expose up to 2 seconds.
