It’s #TrilobiteTuesday! Sometimes when we see single trilobite specimens we forget that in life these were social creatures existing within an active undersea environment. Occasionally, however, we encounter a fossil that beautifully demonstrates this interaction. Here is a plate from the Silurian of eastern Canada that presents three different species of trilobites (Rielaspis,Nucleurus, and Encrinurus) along with over 100 crinoid stems and calyxes.
