I still try to digest what I saw at the mountain shrine this summer - A red snake. I had a little health issue then. That day I was feeling better after detoxed myself and went for a walk in the mountain with my friends. We hiked along the small stream in the ravine to the old shrine where the sacred rocks are. She was floating in the shallow water by Torii, a gateway to the shrine . My heartbeat was as loud as this piece, but actually it was rather serene and peaceful. She will appear in my painting for a while I believe.
体調を崩していた夏の前半、印象的な出来事があった。せっせと毒を出して健康を整え、調子が良くなったある日、久しぶりにお山を沢伝いに歩いて磐座のある古い神社へ。その鳥居のふもとで見た、水にゆらぐ赤い蛇。あの蛇の印象は、まだまだ消化できていない。こんなに激しいうるさい絵になってしまったのは、わたしの気持ちからかな。あの時間はむしろ静かで穏やかだったのに。しばらくはあの蛇が絵の中に現れるのかな。
