The curtain will go up on the first episode of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” tonight, beginning a new chapter for the late-night television franchise. Tonight’s guests include George Clooney and @jebbush. The big question tonight, and in the weeks to come: Can #Colbert shed the ironist’s mask he wore on The Colbert Report and turn himself into the genial master of ceremonies? In a recent interview, @ニューヨーク・タイムズ reporter Dave Itzkoff tried to get inside the comedian’s head. “I imagine there will be a monologue,” Dave said. Colbert’s response: “Really? Are you going to do a monologue?
