This majestic bird has good reason to celebrate. The greater #sagegrouse doesn’t require endangered species protection thanks to America’s largest land #conservation effort.
During the past five years, an unprecedented conservation effort has taken place across 11 western states to protect the #sagebrush landscape and reduce the threats to the sage grouse’s habitat. Because of this work, the sage grouse no longer faces the risk of extinction and doesn’t require protection from the endangered species act. It’s a huge #WildlifeWin, but there is still more work to be done!
