Mehelya (file snakes) derive mostly from the sub-saharan Africa. They are called file snakes due to their somewhat unusual and rough scalation. They are not venomous and typically grow to only be a few feet in length making them totally harmless to humans.
Their diet consists of small lizards and other reptiles found in leafy patches and underground burrows.
As you can see in the shape of the skull they have evolved a flat and hardened head to easily burrow themselves through the underbrush to find prey while hunting. @Robert Clark @thephotosociety
