“#SocialDistortion's Show at the Fox Theatre in Oakland was my first time watching them perform live. The first thing that struck me when I got into the photo pit was their elaborate stage setup. David Hidalgo Jr's drum kit was surrounded by many little details including a monkey, a mannequin wearing lingerie, an "inmates stand here" sticker on an amp and a license plate with "Social Distortion" spelled out with each letter cut out from a different state's plates. Once Social D hit the stage, the sold out crowd was in a frenzy to show their appreciation for frontman Mike Ness and the band on their 25th anniversary tour of their self-titled album. The stage light was incredible and Mike really played up to the photographers by walking out to the front of the stage and shredding guitar solos right into our lenses.
