Mélina, 16, is a student at the Hope secondary school in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. “Children are not mature enough for [marriage],” she says. “They want to study. They have to first finish studying, then as adults, take on their own, the decision if they want to marry or not.
