Great grey owls are my favorite bird out there. I'm not sure if it's their size or their mellow and cool collected nature, but I cannot seem to get enough of them. Unfortunately there's only about 150 in all of California so the odds of finding one out here are fairly slim. Already waiting and counting down till I can head back to Jackson Hole and find these feathery creatures again!
