“There are no grudges in this crew and no one tries to stand out more than the others. All four of us are equal beings.” That’s Fukase (@fukase_sekainoowari), the orange-haired lead singer of the electro-pop-rock concoction SEKAI NO OWARI. The group, which consists of Fukase, Nakajin, Saori and DJ LOVE — (he’s the guy in the freaky clown mask) — have known each other since childhood. Though the band’s name translates to “End of the World,” it’s supposed to represent a clean slate — which is perfect for its next move: singing in English and taking its music to America.
“We’ve spent quite a long time ‘raising’ our English songs,” says Fukase. “I think it’s about time they leave their parents.”
