Tech Tip Tuesday: I find myself in soggy situations a lot. Any time I'm shooting in a boat, on a river, or in a wet slot canyon like I was here with @sierraquitiquit, I pack my gear in a specific way and it makes all the difference. 90% of my lenses, clothes, food, etc go in a large dry bag. I don't know how many liters, just think big. This guy usually goes in a daypack I don't mind getting wet. However getting stuff in and out of big dry bags sucks. It stinks so bad that by the end of the day you stop doing it. So to keep my camera handy, but dry, I keep a lens permanently mounted on the camera and put that camera in a small 10L dry bag that goes over my shoulder, messenger bag style and easy to get to. Bottom line... Keep your camera dry but make it accessible or else you'll never pull it out. •
