Ryan Tate of the Taronga Conservation Society in Australia inspected a Port Jackson shark, up close, at the Taronga Zoo in #Sydney. Researchers are studying the social behavior of the #sharks to help battle the misconception that they’re largely solitary creatures. By exploring the softer side of these widely feared animals, researchers also want to elevate sharks’ social standing among humans.
