Good morning! Concentrated O.J. was developed to improve taste and nutritional value. During World War II, soldiers were given lemon crystals with vitamin C, but many chose not to eat them because of the bitter taste.
In 1948, the new "cutback" method was developed, which made frozen OJ taste better.
