As #worldcancerday comes to an end I have been reflecting on those who are fighting and those we have lost. It's time we unite for a cure to stop the suffering. It takes all of our efforts to replace cancer with... CURE! I personally support the fight alongside @lungforce to honor the life of my dear grandmother, Doris, who lost her battle to lung cancer. This is my most treasured photo with her. She had been battling lung cancer for 7 months and I was told it was time to say my goodbyes. We had 5 days together in her hospice and then this moment came. I didn't know what to say, how to speak... Neither did she. We simply said "I love you and I will see you again someday." Neither of us could say goodbye... I don't know how I found the courage to walk out of that room. I miss her everyday. I feel her love beat in my soul. I hear her words in my head. I use these as strength to help raise awareness and fight for a cure. Hoping these goodbyes can end! PLEASE HELP ME FIGHT...
