Photo by @catherinekarnow. The ancient hill village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie in the Lot Valley, Dordogne, is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in France. It is perched on a steep cliff 300 feet above the river Lot. I was here on assignment for #natgeotraveler magazine a few years ago, and what I remember most is that, as lovely as this village was, there was nowhere to eat breakfast.
