Did you know that underneath Paul #Cezanne’s “Bay of L’Estaque” there is another painting? Through the use of X-radiography, our conservators discovered a portrait underneath. In the images, you can see that Cézanne turned the portrait sideways before painting a landscape over it. “Bay of L’Estaque,” 1879–83, by Paul Cézanne
