Photo by @catherinekarnow The traditional fishing junk, a rarity even in 1994, plies the waters in Halong Bay, a Unesco World Heritage site comprising over 3000 islands made of limestone karsts. This photo was taken on my second trip to Vietnam, a country I have been photographing for 25 years. I was born and grew up in Asia in the 1960s; this photo shows my nostalgia for my past, for an Asia that no longer exists.
