These cheetah cubs are too young to hunt with their mother, so she needs to stash them somewhere safe while she searches for food. Another safari vehicle saw her hide these five cubs in some thick brush in the morning, so we made a strategic decision to hang out and wait for her to return. In the several hours we stayed in the area, we did not see or hear the cubs at all until we saw their mother return. The family blended so well into the tall grass that we would have missed them completely if not for the experience of our guides. Taken on safari in South Africa. #bigcats
