In #Kenya, a girl smiles in her dormitory at the Modogashe boarding school for primary students, near the remote village of Modogashe, Garissa County. The school faces challenges like a lack of desks and school supplies, understaffing and an insufficient water supply. Nomadic pastoralist communities move with the rains, seeking greener pastures for their animals, but this often results in low school enrolment rates. Rates are especially low among girls, who are often expected to care for younger siblings, cook, do housework and tend livestock.
