Here's one for ya - The extinct giant ground sloth once played a significant role in the wide spread distribution of #joshuatrees. In the 1930's biologist discovered Joshua tree seeds, leaves and fruits in a pile of ancient dung from the sloth in the gypsum caves outside of Las Vegas. As these animals would feed and migrate across the landscape they would conveniently leave fertilized piles along the way, thus increasing the range of the tree.
