"We’ve been developing @pluspoolny since 2010 with our good friends and the raddest dudes in the world, @ottomilo and @rrracecar of @playlabinc, and the plan is to open it on the East River in 2020. It’s a water-filtering pool that will float in the river and filter 600,000 gallons of water a day. We’re combining technologies and materials that have never been put together at this scale or for this purpose before. I grew up in a beach town, but now I live closer to a natural body of water than I ever have before. So one of the first thoughts for the project was: 'Why can’t you just swim in a part of the river that’s clean?' I don’t know if we had any expectations when we went into it.
