Rescue workers from Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force continue their searches for survivors after a series of earthquakes hit southwestern Japan since April 14, 2016. At least 42 people were killed and over 180,000 were evacuated. Japan has deployed more than 20,000 troops to help in the rescue efforts such as in Minamiaso in the Kumamoto Prefecture, seen in this photograph. Read more on TIME.com.
