Two mollies are shown from the Tabasco region of Mexico. The left is a freshwater molly from a surface river, whilst the right is a cave dwelling molly adapted to the darkness and a life without light. The cave molly shows adaption part-way between surface and a complete cave-adapted creature. It's losing its pigment and becoming paler, pinker, and more translucent. Without the need to see in a completely dark environment, the eyes of the cave molly have become inset into its head. With time, these eyes will likely completely disappear. @natgeocreative
