If you’re just tuning in, this week #PopRally chatted with artist Andrew Kuo (@earlboykins) as part of #CreativeNewYork, a new series of interviews with artists and creatives about their life, practice, and what they most love (or don’t) about the city. “I figured out early on that I like to work alone. My works aren’t more or less involved than most artworks, but it takes a long time for the paint to dry between one section and the next, so there’s a lot of sitting and waiting. I find that to be enjoyable. I would say there ends up being time in studio every day where I’m on my phone, waiting for a paint to dry with fans blasting on it, where I’m reading an article about what the real problem with @コービー・ブライアント is.”—Andrew Kuo

For more on Andrew’s story follow #CreativeNewYork and @earlboykins in the coming days, and head to the link in our bio for the whole Q&A. Questions for Andrew? Ask in the comments and he may respond. [Andrew Kuo. “Same (11/4/14),” 2014. Image courtesy of Marlborough Chelsea]
