I like to keep my girls happy. There nesting boxes are full of edible grasses and weeds. With Rosemary and lavender both calming and they are natural anti-septic's. To keep the bugs away, I pluck the leaves off my citronella planta. It works miraculously well. Better than any bug spray. It really does hurt my heart to think of all those beautiful birds cooped up in pins.
Living things deserve respect and appreciation. Give to them and they give back.
