An oceanic whitetip shark swims past a marine biologist off Cat Island in The Bahamas. This species of shark was once considered the most common large animal on Earth (large meaning bigger than 100 pounds), but is now 98% in decline due to over fishing. To be in the water with a shark like this is exhilarating. They move with elegance and grace, yet exude power and confidence.
