Yame and @Kevin Richardson LionWhisperer take some time out in the morning sun. We are waiting for DNA results that will reveal the genetic heritage of both rescued cubs. Hundreds of wild lions in the early half of the 20th century were exported to Europe for display in zoos and circuses. Many of these genetic lines are now functionally extinct or close to it. Maybe these are the lost ancestors of George and Yame. The results will contribute to a greater genetic database. Our new film will reveal all and whether George and Yame are even true siblings.
