Two Ospreys having a minor confrontation over perching space in a tree on the James River, Richmond, Virginia. The annual fish migration up the James is about finished and it has been a difficult one for the Ospreys. There were continuous weeks of rain and when the river is muddy and running hard it is almost impossible for Ospreys to spot fish under the surface of the water. As with all animals, when food is scarce, their behavior can be more aggressive than normal. #ospreys #fishing #confrontation #rva #richmond #migratorybirds #jamesriver @thephotosociety
