Humane Society International has been on the ground in #Yulin rescuing dozens of dogs from being viscously beaten to death for the very small percentage of Chinese people who still eat dog meat. These are just some of the faces of the dogs who will not end up on dinner plates thanks to brave Chinese activists and @HSIGlobal. Although we can expect #Yulin to go forward this year, I know that together we will see an end to the barbaric dog meat trade. This isn't about tradition. It is about innocent animals being captured or farmed and mercilessly tortured and it is unacceptable to me and the majority of Chinese people.
