? Happy #WorldLionDay! Lions are the most social cats and live in prides. The core of a lion pride is made up of female lions, and each pride usually has a dominant female. Lionesses will cross-foster each other’s cubs, even allowing cubs that are not their own to nurse from them. The resident male or males in a pride can often change. Females do the majority of the hunting because they are better at ambush hunting. Males with their large manes and bigger bodies protect the pride from potential threats like hyenas and rival lion prides. #WeSaveSpecies
