Unlike its name implies, I don't think there is anything to fear about the damnation creek trail in Redwoods National Park. Rather, instead of avoiding damnation, I think you should, with all your effort, head straight to its heavenly redwood tree groves and moss and fern covered floor. It is an epic hike in an already epic national park. This selfie was shot using a tripod, an interval timer, and a bit of patience.
