Photo by @stephenwilkes: From 1964 to 1973 during the Vietnam War, the US dropped over 2 million tons of bombs on Laos. That is the equivalent of a planeload every 8 minutes for 9 years.
Of the 270 million cluster bomblets dropped during the war, 80 million never exploded, leaving the country’s citizens in constant danger of explosion. This week, President Obama pledged $90 million to help clear away the life-threatening remnants of this secret war.
