What makes a masterpiece painting? I’m Kathryn Calley Galitz (@kcgalitz), and The Met is giving me an opportunity to take over this account for the next five days to mark the publication of my new book, “The Metropolitan Museum of Art: Masterpiece Paintings,” and upcoming "Masterpiece Dialogues" lecture and book signing event on Tuesday, Sept 27.
